We get the best here. They always be have hard to find limited releases. And the staff is super knowledgeable.

You'll be VERY hard pressed to find a better cheese shop. Great selection, excellent and expert service and the dips, spreads and crostini are absolutely awesome. I have never had anything there that I didn't love. The liquor store is just that. They'll have what you need to accompany the delicious food you buy.

France 44 is the best place for cheese in the Twin Cities! They have a huge selection of cheeses that you aren’t likely to see anywhere else. And their staff is very knowledgeable. Same with the spirits side of the store! Their loyalty program is well worth the one time fee ($44 when I signed up). It’s easy to accumulate points and get rewards dollars (aka free cheese!) Their classes are also amazing!

Do yourself a favor a walk into France 44 Cheese Shop once day for lunch. Give yourself an hour and disconnect so you can enjoy the food because it is truly exceptional. Order the surprise sandwich. Who cares what’s in it-try it for goodness sake.Order something to drink.Sit down with your lunch in airy dining room or outside.One hour later you feel amazing and are recharged for the rest of the day!!

Great selection, prices are a bit steep, the thing that irritated me most is they charge you for a bag?? Are u kidding me, I spent $96, and then you ask me if I want a bag for an additional 5 cents!?? I respectfully decided and he took my cart and I had to carry all products to my car. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere, due to a bag tax........

Great selection of wine, beer and spirits. Lots of tasting opportunities and the staff give really good recommendations. There is also an awesome butcher shop, cheese shop, and deli on the other side of the store. This place is great for quick visits or you could make a day of it!

I really enjoy France 44! Their selection of alcohol products is large, unique, and in a nice range of prices. I love walking in knowing I can find something new I’ve never seen before, or an old favorite. Staff are friendly, willing to answer questions and offer advice. The cheese shop is a fun addition with a nice selection. The store is always clean and well kept. I go out of my way to stop here because of the selection and atmosphere.

I love how they provide varies alcohol & beer. TK is bomb and this person is extremely helpful choose right kind for champagne for our special night.

This review is long overdue. I don’t know where to begin with my overwhelming praise for France44. All our friends know that we now affectionately refer to it as “the happiest place in earth.” The overall service, combined with the most amazing food and wine selections makes it an extraordinary experience every time we visit. I have traveled all over but this place is unmatched. Every person who works there is a special person and each one is always helpful and friendly. There is no cheese or meat shop within a 500 mile radius that compares. There are other spots in town but the service is not even close and the product selection is exquisite. If you aren’t shopping here - make a point to start. I can say that every single time I walk in I am met with smiles and I leave with a smile. Amazing gem right here in Mpls

Best beer selection on the west side of the cities. Also the connected meat and cheese shop is a delight!

We come here so often they know us by name. Very friendly and generally knowledgeable staff. The wine tastings are such a fun way to start the weekend. Always fantastic groups to try from and often you get to meet the winemakers themselves. The cafe has great sandwiches and always a really interesting and delicious cheese case as well and the staff is very helpful.

Good prices, great help, good selection. Hard to beat for a neighborhood liquor store.

Ordered the Signature Chevre and it was delicious. An item was not included with our order and they immediately rush it to our door step with a bonus desert item. 5 starts for customer service and excellent quality.

The young checkout guys, all white, are very unfriendly....almost soulless. Get some friendly people, hopefully a diverse group as well. It's 2020 !!!!

Am excellent selection, and knowledgeable service make France 44 the foremost wine and spirits store in the Twin Cities (at least in my opinion). Another one of the stellar qualities that make this establishment shine is the fact that they allow tastings of certain bottles, allowing you to fully understand their suggestions, and inform your purchasing decisions.

Fantastic selection of prepared and gourmet foods, ranging from fresh meats, vegetable entrees and sides, to housemade broths and frozen cookie dough. You can order a reasonable meal to eat in the store (I like their grilled cheese with tomato soup). The cheese selection is very well-curated and the staff is highly knowledgeable. The alcohol store is perhaps even better.

Nice little deli with great selection of non-standard food items. In house butcher offers nice cuts and great quality. Wine shop has a wide selection up and down the price ladder. Prices reflect the location.

Wonderful place for European cheeses and pastas. They also have a small restaurant and will make you some delicious sandwiches or sides.

They always have great deals, weekly events and the staff is amazing. I don't shop anywhere else.

I have ordered gift baskets from the cheese shop a couple of times. The recipients rave about them and the staff is wonderful to work with.

The liquor selection here is incredible. I highly recommend the cheese and meat shop. Very knowledgeable staff. We were very happy with the cheeses we purchased. If you want something different it's the place to go. Its also worth joining the loyalty club with its one time fee you can save money on your purchases.

Conveniently in my neighborhood, A little spendy but they have whatever you need!! Also very neat and organized with a friendly environment.

Fantastic sandwiches offered in the cheese shop. If you're feeling adventurous, the Mystery for $10 is always a good pick. They also offer some soups and hot sandwiches, as well as a wide variety of cheeses, spreads, crackers, jams, and more!

Cheese shop is exquisite, great liquor options, and friendly staff. Visited for wine/liquor/beer tasting and ended up getting a club sandwich from the deli! Staff in the liquor store are very helpful and kind - I will definitely be back!

The grinder is possibly the best deli sandwich in all of the twin cities. Wow- so so delicious and always great service!

The best selection of great craft beers. Plus, they get their deliveries before most other stores. So, if you are trying to chase down a newly released beer, give them a call. Their customer service is always top notch.
